Researchers gain visibility into the ads and sponsored content that opted-in users are exposed to on social media

RealityMine today announced the addition of RealLife Social to its product offerings.

Following upgrades to the company’s RealityMeter metering technology, RealityMine can now capture data on the advertisements that have been served to opted-in users on some of today’s most popular social media platforms. The data returned to clients will include key information such as name of the advertiser, their domain, time on screen that the advertisement was viewed, copy within the ad, and text associated with call to action messaging.

“With social media advertising spend forecast to grow to US $125 billion by 2023, gaining an improved understanding of the value of this advertising spend in driving conversion is more important than ever,” commented Billy Grant, Head of Product at RealityMine. “RealLife Social will provide our clients with an easy to use feed that lifts the lid on the competitive advertising landscape within walled-garden platforms, closing a significant insight gap.

RealityMine’s RealLife Social feed will deliver a standardized, single source view of advertising exposure data across social media platforms. Through a whitelist approach, RealityMine only captures information in compliance with GDPR regulations on sponsored or promoted content. At no stage is RealityMine able to report on other content or posts within a user’s feed.
